#VoicesFromHome: Dapper Dans Share Disney Magic, Take Requests

With their happy harmonizing, the Dapper Dans are an iconic part of the Main Street, U.S.A., experience at Disneyland Resort.  Today, in a first-of-its-kind performance, the famed Dapper Dans are using their #VoicesFromHome to share a touch of Disney magic with everyone at home.

From Burbank, California to Houston Texas, the Disneyland Dapper Dans jumped online at home to sing one of their all-time favorite songs “When You Wish Upon A Star.”  The song is just one of many others from a Dapper Dans song list that includes the popular “Grim Grinning Ghosts” and “When I See An Elephant Fly.”

Vote and let us know what you’d like to hear as the Dapper Dans use their #VoicesFromHome to bring Main Street U.S.A. into your home.

And be sure to keep checking the Disney Parks Blog for more #DisneyCastLife stories like this as Disney cast members continue to share Disney magic in the future.

  • Brilliant. I too, am crying happy and sad tears. The happy tears come from the beauty of your voices. Missing Disneyland and all the cast after visiting and wanting to be there is one thing, but missing you and not knowing when we can all visit again is where the sadness comes in.
Thank you and I look forward to the next song.

  • My wife is an Opera singer and has sung as the featured soloist for Symphony Orchestras and in many professional theater productions, but, if you want to see her light up and grin like a little girl, ask her about the time she got to sing the counterpoint to “Lida Rose/Will I Ever Tell You”with the Dapper Dans on Main Street. Thanks for making the Magic happen!

  • I am Crying.. Happy “I miss Disneyland tears”
. Truly needed this. I always stop to listen to you guys. You are a blessing. Thank you!!

  • i’m not crying your crying.

  • I heard a story from the Disney+ Imagineering series, that after the earthquake of 2011, Disneyland Tokyo had to close it gates. When the gates were opened again, the guest that came in cried happy tears. In a world a Doubts and Fears, I too will cry happy tears when I once again walk in the gates of Disneyland.

  • Tears to my eyes !😊. You ALL need to be on. Disney’s 2nd sing along. !!!! Someone needs to make it happen 🎉😊

  • So many wonderful memories, Main Street, Barbershop, family, friends, and acquaintances, though brief, warm and friendly. The spirit of Disney shining today to remind us each and every one to do likewise. Thank you.

  • Mother and son trips to Disney were frequent during my son’s childhood. We danced to “When You Wish Upon A Star” at his wedding. Your rendition was beautiful…and I’ve listened multiple times. Makes my day. Thank you!

  • Haha, got it to work! I accidentally clicked “Grim Grinning Ghosts,” which is fine too, since I am a big Haunted Mansion fan.

Here’s hoping for getting back to life as we knew it some day and many happy trips to Disney parks for all.

  • This is just wonderful!!

    I agree with Nancy’s choices!!

Also a little Zippity Do Dah would not hurt.

Hello to the Dapper Dan in Houston (my neck of the woods/although I got stuck in AZ when this hit)

Cannot figure out how to vote/will try twitter.

    “Disney Medley” sounds marvelous.

  • Thank you so much played it at hospital where I work and everyone stopped to sing along thanks for helping us nurses through this hard time.

  • Thank you so much, you all have such beautiful voices. Please would you consider adding King of the swingers to your voting list as my 15 month old granddaughter dances to it all the time! We hope to visit Disneyland in Florida again when the earth recovers ❤️❤️❤️

  • This was wonderful!! Thank you sooo much! I needed a little Disney magic. Please do more, any of the songs voted for or any others they sing would be welcome.

  • Thank you so much. I was having such a down day and that was so up lifting. Looking forward to more.

  • Thank you so much for posting your wonderful voices! My daughter will be celebrating her 35th birthday March 30 and all she wanted was to be able to celebrate her big day at the Magic Kingdom. She had to cancel reservations and hope for another time to visit. Would it be possible to sing “Happy Birthday” to Emily? That would make her the happiest on her big day.
    Thank you !
    Her Mom,
    Becky
