Kermit the Frog Tells Who Are the Big Cameos in 'Muppets Most Wanted'

To celebrate the debut of the new trailer for their next movie, "Muppets Most Wanted," the Muppets are taking over Yahoo Entertainment. Here is a post written by the amphibious master-of-ceremonies himself, Kermit the Frog. Yayyyyyyyy!

Hi ho, Yahoo, Kermit the Frog here to take you on a trip down memory lane to celebrate the Yahoo Movies trailer debut for our new movie, "Muppets Most Wanted." First, take a look at the exclusive trailer:

As you can see, Muppet movies are always filled with big celebrity cameos. (None of which are as important as Miss Piggy — she made me write that). I've had the pleasure of working with such greats as Jim Parsons, Sarah Silverman, Jack Black, Emily Blunt, Zach Galifinakis, Richard Pryor, Orson Welles,  John Cleese, Steve Martin, and many more. For this special guest column on Yahoo Movies, I thought I'd introduce just a few of the great talents that we've lined up for "Muppets Most Wanted."

1. Celine Dion

Celine is one of Miss Piggy's idols. (And, surprisingly enough, Celine is a big fan of Piggy's, too.) Including Celine in our sequel was not only a contractual demand from Miss Piggy, but a complete pleasure for all of us. She was an absolute delight to work with—Celine, not Piggy. And, of course, it wouldn't be a true Celine Dion moment without some of her one-of-a-kind vocal stylings. That's all I can say about that for now. You'll have to wait until March 21 to see and hear what happened!

2. Salma Hayek

Salma Hayek joined us for the Madrid, Spain stop of our world tour. In the new film, she helps Gonzo bring one of his most exciting — and dangerous — acts to life. She was a great sport and didn't once complain about excessive chicken feathers on set. What a pro!

3. Ray Liotta

Ray is a cameo star that we had so much fun with that we invited him back! Mr. Liotta joined us for a scene in "Muppets From Space" back in '99 and now he's back in "Muppets Most Wanted." (Did you spot him in the trailer?)

4. P. Diddy

While I didn't personally get to spend any screen time with P. Diddy, I made sure I was on set to meet him. We had a lot to talk about, including sharing some of our favorite things: His favorite Muppet movie was "The Muppets Take Manhattan" and my favorite P. Diddy song is "Mo Money Mo Problems."

5. Danny Trejo

Danny originally shot a scene in a jail for our last film, "The Muppets," that unfortunately landed on the cutting room floor. (It did show up in an early teaser for the film, though!). So, when we were making plans for "Muppets Most Wanted," we knew he had to get Danny back and bigger than ever. So this time, we've put him in a Russian Gulag! I can't wait for you to see him in the final film. Two words: Triple Threat!
